Workplace support
Did you know that one in four employees in your workplace may be grieving at any one time? They may be grieving the loss of a family member, work colleague, friend or pet.
If you’ve had your own experience of grief, you will know the extent to which grief impacts every part of us. Grief affects us emotionally, physically, cognitively, spiritually and it impacts our relationships. Therefore, when employees are grieving, that is naturally going to impact their performance and productivity. ‘Brain fog’ is real. Productivity loss is real. And the impact of your organisation’s bottom line, is also real IF that grief goes unsupported.
Workplace grief MUST BE supported to protect your organisation’s bottom line AND to protect the wellbeing of your people.

Understanding and supporting employees with different grief styles: feeler/talker and thinker/doer
Want help supporting your grieving employees, in a way that will protect your organisation’s profitability AND ensure your people feel well supported and valued?
I offer a range of different types of support, depending on what is most needed. The first step is to organise an initial complimentary conversation. This allows me to understand the unique needs of your workplace and for us, together, to agree what needs to happen next, and the aspects that you would like my help with.:
Most common, are team education and support sessions – I facilitate group support and education sessions for employees who are grieving, and/or to empower employees to know how best to support a colleague who is about to return to work, following a personal loss. These sessions provide a safe space for employees to express how they are feeling and to learn practical ways to support themselves or others. Sessions can be helpful both initially and further down the track, given that needs change. Although everyone grieves differently, bringing employees together in this way allows them to feel less alone in their experience. These sessions are typically 60-90 minutes and are customised for the specific needs of your workplace.
